What Would You Do?: A transgender woman is insulted by a man at a diner. This is a really great segment they did where a trans woman, played by a real trans woman, is insulted and ridiculed by a man (played by an actor, of course) while she serves him at a diner. You’d be surprised at how many people butted in to defend her.
So much faith in humanity restored.
Fucking great how they supported her.
I may need to watch this show more often.
This made me tear up.
I was really pleasantly surprised the older people would step in.
But I do feel like a lot of transphobia happens in private. People who date a transperson and find out they’re trans who break it off or react REALLY negatively. People online with their shitty opinions. But I am happy to see cis people are more supportive than I thought.It’s really nice to get a little reminder that there are some really good people out there.
